6-Day Safari to Amboseli National Park and Masai Mara

Day 1: Nairobi to Amboseli

Stop At: Amboseli National Park, Amboseli National Park, Amboseli Eco-system, Rift Valley Province
Early in the morning after breakfast we depart Nairobi and proceed to Amboseli National Park We arrive in time for lunch at lodge or camp followed by afternoon game drive and on a clear day you will be able to see Mt Kilimanjaro, for dinner and overnight stay at camp/lodge.

Day 2: Amboseli Full Day Game Drive

Stop At: Amboseli National Park, Amboseli National Park, Amboseli Eco-system, Rift Valley Province
Morning game drives over the park’s dusty roads, you’re likely to spot wildebeest, giraffes, Gazelles, Impala and zebra attracted to the marshes and swamps fed by the melting snows of Kilimanjaro. You may also spot lions on the fringes of the marshes as well as a great variety of bird-life (some 425 species of bird populate the park). With Kilimanjaro providing a dramatic backdrop, your photographs will be stunning with Elephants, which makes Amboseli popular as there in hundreds.

Day 3: Depart Amboseli for Lake Nakuru

Stop At: Lake Nakuru National Park, Lake Nakuru National Park, Rift Valley Province
After breakfast, we head back towards Nairobi (stopover for lunch) and continue driving through the stunning scenery of Kenya’s Great Rift Valley to explore Lake Nakuru National Park. The woodland and grassland surrounding the soda lake are home to an abundance of wildlife including black rhino, white rhino, hippo, leopard, lion and the rare Rothschild giraffe. Return to Sarova Lion Hill Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara

Stop At: Maasai Mara National Reserve, Maasai Mara National Reserve, Rift Valley Province
After an early breakfast, we continue our safari by heading to the world-famous Maasai Mara, arriving for lunch at Lodge where we will stay for 2 nights (Full Board). Keekorok has wonderful areas to observe wildlife – including the Elephant Deck and Hippo Bar which overlooks a waterhole. The lodge also features a swimming pool and offers optional activities (payable locally) such as the spa or nature walks. We will take an afternoon game drive and return for dinner and overnight at Lodge.

Day 5: Explore Masai Mara

Stop At: Maasai Mara National Reserve, Maasai Mara National Reserve, Rift Valley Province
*Optional Balloon Safari and Champagne Breakfast.
In the early morning, we head into the Masai Mara National Reserve for game-viewing. We will look for a wide variety of Kenya’s animals – great and small – such as elephants, buffalo, giraffe and plains game and we will go in search of the big cats for which the Mara is famous. Return to the lodge late morning. In the afternoon we take another game drive, later returning for dinner and overnight at Lodge.

Day 6: Depart Masai Mara for Nairobi

Stop At: Nairobi, Nairobi
After breakfast, we transfer back to Nairobi. Drop off at the international airport for your flight home. Alternatively, fly direct from the Masai Mara to the Kenya coast to relax on the beach for a few days before flying back to Nairobi (optional and at a supplement).
