Castles & Curiosities of the Boyne Valley

Come and experience some of the most special sites in the Boyne Valley including Trim Castle, Slane Castle and the Neolithic Tomb at Fourknocks.  Taste the foods of the Boyne Valley.

Touch kerbstones dating thousands of years old.

Let me weave for you the fascinating stories of the Boyne Valley, birthplace of Ireland's Ancient East - from the land-thirsty kings to saints and scholars - as we make our way through an immersive journey off the beaten track - through 5,000 years of ancient Irish history - past landmarks and locations that have played host to great deeds and legends.

On windswept hills, in small green fields, or simply at a bend in the road - the stories here are never far away.  They are written on the land and echo in the voices of the locals.

"Tell me a story; spin me a tale" - are you ready?
